8-Ball billiards game is played with 16 balls: one cue ball (the white ball), seven solid-colored ball (with the numbers 1-7 on them), seven striped balls (with the numbers 9-15 on them) and one black ball. The name of the 8-Ball billiards game comes from the fact that the black ball is the important one, and it's number is 8 - making it the 8-Ball.
To start the 8-Ball billiards game, you and your opponent both hit a ball as hard as you can to the end of the table. Whoever is ball go more further starts the billiards game.
