The Artful Technique to Aim the Cue in Snooker

The Artful Technique to Aim the Cue in Snooker

The instructions that you have come across on aiming techniques on snooker strategies, you might have noticed that in these techniques, there is always a bit of suggestion and instruction that you have to concentrate at the object ball while striking. In addition, you have to carefully see “Trusting" cue tip position, which shall be based on straight "locked-in" stroke. You know guys, I have been playing the shot in the same manner for years now and I am well off than average league player or tournament player. Also, because I applied my geometry and physics knowledge in the snooker strategy to the optimum levels.

It is hot to aim the cue in snooker and with all my knowledge coming to my rescue, I knew the dynamics about how the balls move when they are pushed or pulled through the English; when balls are in contact etc. However, something was really missing from the place. Just out of the way, I tell you that I am also very good at I am good at golf and croquet as well. So, while playing a croquet shot, I aimed at the wicket and then line-up my shot, but when I actually make a shot, I always see the mallet contact. Likewise, while playing the golf, I always see that I have lined the ball exactly in the position I want it to go.

Coming back to snooker strategies, it is important that you locate the aiming point. Remember that your aiming point is the angle at which object ball is hit. In snooker strategies, a smooth straight stroke is the result of cue tip contact to cue ball and the right position of English. On the other hand, if stroke is lined at object ball angle and you think that your stroke will remain straight thinking that cue tip contact will be at the position on the cue ball where you wanted it to be, then my friend you are leaving the game more to chance.

Here I share with you some of the innovative snooker strategies and effective techniques that helped me to top the leagues, with more cash driving in and more winning tournaments.

  • Try Ghost Ball method. It will really help you lining up the object ball angle precisely with your “MIND’S EYE".
  • Ascertain exactly the position where you want the cue tip to contact the cue ball. This becomes indispensable and hot to aim the cue in snooker.
  • Once you find the contact to hit on the cue ball, you should now be able to stroke the stick at that very contact. Now, first see the tip of the stick as it is back to bridge and subsequently the cue ball. See they are in straight line.
  • Synchronize your practice stroke with the aiming point. This time when you bring the tip backward and then take it forward, keep your eyes aligned between the cue ball and the aiming point. Keep practicing until and unless “mind’s eye," says it’s right.
  • Now you are all spruced up to play the straight stroke with cue tip touching the point on the cue ball where you wanted it to touch and in sync with your “mind’s eye". You have nothing left for the probability.

Finally, it may happen that you might miss shots, when you use the technique of mind’s eye in snooker strategies. But… you will always be playing straight in shots, and will be able to see for yourself that cue tip contacts the cue balll at the position of your Mind’s Eye".
